US Netizen E-mail: Netscape 4.5, 4.6, or 4.7

  1. Log into US Netizen Webmail
  2. Enable POP in your US Netizen Webmail account.
  3. Open Netscape Mail 4.5, 4.6, or 4.7
  4. Click 'Edit,' and select 'Preferences.'


  5. Open 'Mail & Newsgroups,' and click 'Mail Servers.'


  6. Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:' field, and enter your US Netizen e-mail username (including '@usnetizen.com' in the 'Outgoing mail server user name:' field.
  7. Select 'Always' under 'Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or TLS for outgoing messages:.'
  8. Click 'Add...' to add a new POP Server.
  9. Enter 'pop.gmail.com' in the 'Server Name:' field.
  10. Select 'POP 3 Server' as the 'Server Type.'
  11. Enter your US Netizen e-mail username (including '@usnetizen.com) in the 'User Name:' field.


    *Make sure the box next to 'Leave messages on server' is not checked.


  12. Click 'Identity' in left column.


  13. Enter your name in the 'Your Name' field.
  14. Enter your full US Netizen e-mail address (username@usnetizen.com) in the 'Email Address:' field.
  15. Enter your email address in the 'Reply-to Address:' field.

* Did you click 'Save Changes' after enabling POP in US Netizen Webmail? To ensure that US Netizen mail can communicate with your mail client, be sure to click 'Save Changes' on the US Netizen webmail 'Mail Settings' page.
