US Netizen E-mail: Outlook Express and Outlook 2002 (Mac Users)

  1. Log into US Netizen Webmail
  2. Enable POP in your US Netizen Webmail account.
  3. Open Outlook.
  4. Click the 'Tools' menu, and select 'Accounts.'


  5. Open the 'Mail' tab, and click 'New.'
  6. Click 'Mail' in the 'New' menu.
  7. Click 'Configure Account Manually.'


  8. Select 'POP,' and click 'OK.'


  9. Enter your name in the 'Name:' field
  10. Enter your full US Netizen e-mail address (username@usnetizen.com) in the 'Email Address:' field.
  11. Enter your full US Netizen e-mail address (username@usnetizen.com) in the 'Account ID:' field.
  12. Enter 'pop.gmail.com' in the 'POP server:' field.
  13. Enter your password in the 'Receiving mail password:' field.
  14. Check the box next to 'Save password.'
  15. Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the 'SMTP server:' field.
  16. Click 'Click here for advanced receiving options.'


  17. Check the box next to 'This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL).' * The port will change to 995. Close this portion of the dialogue box.
  18. Click 'Check here for advanced sending options.'
  19. Check the box next to 'SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL).'
  20. Check the box next to 'Override default SMTP port,' and enter '465' in the 'Port:' field.
  21. Check the box next to 'SMTP server requires authentication.'
  22. Leave the default 'Use same settings as incoming mail server' button


    selected.
  23. Close this portion of the dialogue box, and then close the configuration dialogue box.

* Did you click 'Save Changes' after enabling POP in US Netizen Webmail? To ensure that US Netizen mail can communicate with your mail client, be sure to click 'Save Changes' on the US Netizen webmail 'Mail Settings' page.
