Windows ME - Creating a Connection

Before you proceed with the setup, make sure you have the original version of Windows Installation CD-ROM with you.
  1. Go to your Windows Desktop and click on Start > Settings > Dial-Up Networking.
  2. The Dial-Up Networking window opens. Double click on the Make New Connection icon.
  3. The Make New Connection window opens.
  4. Enter US Netizen in the entry box and click on the Next > button to continue.
  5. In the Telephone number entry box, enter your dial-up number. You can look up a dialup number in your area here.
  6. In the Country Code item, click on the down arrow and select United States() from the list.
  7. Click on the Next > button to continue.
  8. Click on the Finish button to complete the setup.
  9. You will be brought back to the Dial-Up Networking window, there should be one additional icon named US Netizen in the folder.
